Having devoted 14 years to public education as both a teacher and administrator, I firmly believe that working with children is my true calling. The connections I forge with my students, their excitement upon entering my classroom, and the heartfelt gratitude from former students all validate this belief. While I cherish many aspects of teaching in public schools, I am disheartened by the limitations and unrealistic expectations imposed by our current public school model on both students and teachers.
